Training

Carroll E. Taylor Associates, dba Taylor Engineering Associates (TEA), was established in 1955. It is a Maine based consulting engineering firm specializing in civil and structural engineering design, analysis, and forensic engineering investigations. TEA has a background in structural and civil engineering services pertaining to:
- buildings
- special structures such as retaining walls and underground concrete reservoirs site
- streets and highways
- water distribution
- sanitary sewers
- storm drainage
TEA's experience in the structural design and analysis includes many types of projects, including, but not limited to:
- municipal facilities including fire stations, police stations, and town halls

- industrial buildings
- warehouses
- office buildings
- aircraft hangars
- residential housing
The materials used in these projects are as varied as the projects and include steel, concrete, and wood.
TEA's civil experience includes site plans, subdivisions, streets, highways, and drainage. Many of these projects incorporate storm water detention, phosphorous removal where necessary, and local, state, and federal permits.
Our staff is current on all Department of Environmental Protection permitting as most site design requires some form of DEP permitting. This includes sites with wetlands, Site Location Law, NRPA, Permit by Rule, and the ever changing Stormwater Laws.
